Mount Snow First East Coast Resort to “Open” for 08/09

Mount Snow is open for business… Well, almost…  They started blowing snow this weekend and got a free mini-terrain park open yesterday on Launch Pad.  The park opened yesterday at 10AM with about a 1/2 dozen features.  The park will stay open as long as the snow holds for.  Riders and skiers are encouraged to hike it and enjoy for free until Elia and the crew can lay down the necessary snow to open up for top to bottom skiing and riding.

Mount Snow was the first ski resort in Vermont to open in 2007, and was the first resort in New England to open with summit-to-base skiing. The mountain spent $8 million upgrading its snowmaking system this summer, giving it the most new-technology fan guns of any resort in North America. Visit the snow report at mountsnow.com for details and updated information.
