Word coming out of X13 is that our Frend and Vermont local, Kevin Pearce will not be participating in the Big Air competition tonight.  Apparently Kevin pulled a pretty rough “Superman” to faceplant off the kicker in slope practice this afternoon.  X Game officials are reporting that Kevin sustained a mild concussion, several stiches and a bruised wrist.  Although Kevin is not participating in Big Air tonight, he is still expected to participate in both slope and pipe.  Fellow Burton team rider Mikkel Bang will take his place tonight.

In women’s riding news, Superpipe qualifiers went down this afternoon.  Here are the results:

1. Torah Bright / 97.66 /  Cooma, Australia
2. Kelly Clark / 95.00 /   Mount Snow, Vt.
