Tired of all these X Games, Dew Tour, Xtreme made-for-tv snowboarding contests?  Has competitive snowboarding strayed away from the roots of why we all started snowboarding in the first place?  Maybe…  One could certainly argue that now more than ever snowboarding is at a cultural crossroads.  Of course I’m writing this as I’m preparing to go watch the RedBull Snowscrapers event in NYC tonight… oh, the irony.

Anyway, if you’re looking for some events that don’t fit the typical mold and that put the focus back on fun, our friend Brooke Greery over at YoBeat has put together a pretty good list.
