PURCHASE, N.Y. – January 8, 2009 – Today AMP Energy announced that Keir Dillon and Kevin Pearce will join the brand’s current snowboarding athlete roster – comprised of Mason Aguirre and Hannah Teter – to create one of the world’s strongest winter action sports programs.

“We’re thrilled Keir and Kevin are joining our AMP Energy family of athletes,” said John Stamatis, Director, Sports Marketing – Pepsi-Cola North America Beverages. “As riders, Keir and Kevin have been dominating the leaderboard for years, and as spokespeople, both share our enthusiasm for the AMP brand and our newly expanded winter action sports program.”

Dillon, Pearce, Aguirre and Teter will run the AMP Energy logo on their boards and helmets in every contest they participate in this season, and will also appear together in print and online advertising for the AMP Energy brand. They will also act as brand spokesmen on-air and in print.

Dillon, who is also an on-air commentator for FUEL TV and ESPN, and will be hosting his own TV Show, “All In,” on the FUEL network this year, underscored his enthusiasm for the new program. “I’m really stoked about how much support AMP has put behind snowboarding this year,” he said. “It really shows their commitment to the sport and the fans. They have some great ideas on how to get snowboarding even more exposure and attention, and they’re asking for our input as well. It’s going to be a fun opportunity.”

Pearce agrees. “I’m stoked on the level of activation AMP Energy is dedicating to snowboarding and action sports. From the onsite support to marketing our sport, this is a great program. I look forward to joining Hannah, Mason, and Keir under the AMP banner this season.”

According to Stamatis, all the athletes are a great fit with the brand. “The AMP Energy brand has always been about taking things to the next level. This expanded, world-class snowboarding program helps us position AMP front-and-center with snowboarding fans – an influential group of consumers that’s always seeking energy. Whether these riders are on the mountain, on the podium, or in front of the TV cameras, AMP Energy will be there to fuel them – and the crowd. It’s a win for everyone involved.”
